The perfect combo of elegance and edge, chain link purses have always been a favorite evening accessory. Lena Erziak, the brand created by the sister team behind New York boutique Stella Filante, debuted its swanky chain link creation for summer 2010.
The bag’s shape and design are definite crowd pleasers. Large enough to fit your Blackberry, assorted glosses and rectangle wallet, but small enough to still look like a purse, the size is ideal for a night out on the town. The fold over clasp is super chic and practical, too, making it easy for you to get in and out without a fuss, but not easy for others to do the same. The gold chain is the perfect length for an over the torso drape or the traditional shoulder dangle and isn’t to heavy or bulky.
Where the bag fails, however, is in fabric and color. The Stella Filante website claims the bag is made with plisse leather, but it resembles a cheap rough suede. The color, an alleged fuchsia, is a worn out baby pink that can look dirty if exposed to poor lighting.
